In reply to Vicki Hill of Stillington (letters, September 7) - Vicki, you are wasting your breath.
Ever since the issue of phone masts and mobile phones arose some years ago, I have asked the question: "Do you own a mobile phone?" of the protesters. So far I have received no answers. I suspect it is because, like you, I've suggested they are a bunch of hypocrites to want a phone but not the masts, leaving some other poor people to die from the radiation they so wish to avoid. Yes Vicki, you are so correct, what a bunch of hypocrites mankind is.
