THOMAS'S Hotel slammed Carlton Tavern 6-1 at Burton Green in division four with goals from Cliff Baxter (2), Terry Taylor (2), Richard Chlebo and Stevie Scott. Tavern's consolation came from Luke Burton.

A double each from Dorman and Musgrave were the highlights of New Earswick's 6-0 drubbing of Triangle Club in their Division Five fixture.

It had been tight for 75 minutes and then after a New Earswick penalty had been converted, they scored another five in quick succession. Other players on target were Tong and Lindsey.

Acomb Rangers, playing their first-ever game in the league scored five times in the second-half on their way to a crushing 8-2 win over Cawood. A five-goal haul from Leigh Dutton, was supported by Sean Stockdale (2) and Chris Haigh. Cawood's response came from Carrier and Rawson.

Poppleton Road WMC had a comfortable 5-2 win over Forest FC, with goals from Chris Moffat (2),Chris Murcutt (2) and Craig Suttle.

New side Acorn took time to overcome Pocklington Rangers, eventually running out 6-1 winners with goals from Jason Gregory (2), Tony Shepherd (2) and Stuart Cuthbert (2). Rangers' reply came from an Ignajatovic spot-kick.
