IT'S all about money and nothing else 'City pools warning', (July 28).
It's about the amount of extra council tax that is to be brought into the council's coffers after granting planning permission for the extra 94 flats besides the 146 flats, a total of 240 flats to be built on the Barbican site.
Someone is sure going to make a lot of money out of selling the flats as well.
So, it's no wonder planning permission has been passed. It's one big money-making scheme for the lucky developers and the council at the York citizens' expense.
The loss of the Barbican Centre is a travesty for York.
