AS a Haxby resident I am very concerned about the proposed demolition of the memorial hall.
I do not think that the Huf-designed building which may replace it will blend in with the Victorian cottages that will surround it in the conservation area.
The front of the present hall should stay and the building behind the faade should be modernised and extended into the space at the back.
