WE wish to voice our concern and objection to the proposal to move the Arc Light Centre to the old Shipton Street School site.
Being newcomers to Burton Stone Lane, we find the immediate area to be generally very friendly and peaceful. The nearest pub to the site is in the middle of Burton Stone Lane, which means that all of the detritus relating to the unfortunate customers of the Arc Light could well be dumped in the front gardens of our houses.
There is a shortage of facilities for young and old. It would be of greater benefit to all local residents to have facilities constructed on the site to benefit them.
An influx of unfortunates to the area will not be of any benefit to us.
