THE North Yorkshire Police sexual harassment saga will rumble on at another meeting next week.
The county's police authority are discussing how they can take the matter forward and make sure that something like this never happens again.
Over recent months the authority has consistently expressed concerns about the unsatisfactory nature of existing police discipline regulations.
Matters came to a head after when it was revealed police had made a massive out-of-court settlement to former PC Libby Ashurst in Harrogate following sexual harassment allegations.
Events that followed eventually led to the acrimonious retirement of Chief Constable David Burke and a war of words between him and the Police Authority.
There have now been five major reports into affair - some published, some not - and the Police Authority is now beginning the process of producing one overall statement of the issues raised and ,matters the authority needs to address.
Some of the things that are likely to be addressed are:
* The police authority's relationships with the media* relationships with other local bodies* the provision of legal advice to the authority* confidential information
The meeting on Monday is open to the public at The Friends' Meeting House, Friargate, York, at 10.30am.
