The clock is ticking to the start of a new football season and the Evening Press is stepping up its comprehensive coverage of York City.

Although Alan Little's men kick-off their Second Division campaign at Preston on Saturday, the Evening Press is already in full swing.

Today we feature young midfield starlet Martin Garratt, who could make his first League appearance on Saturday.

Tomorrow, in the Evening Press there is a FREE 12-page guide to the new season.

It includes a full colour City poster and fixtures, a look at all the Minstermen's Second Division rivals, the high profile managers against whom Alan Little will be pitting his wits, a full page Premiership preview featuring all the clubs, the foreign stars who will be gracing the Premiership and the start of a special cut-out-and keep Premiership star profile.

The star profile will be particularly popular with younger readers and tomorrow we feature Liverpool sensation Michael Owen.

In addition, Chief Sports Writer Tony Kelly will keep you up to date with all the latest news from Bootham Crescent, backed up by in-depth statistics.

Tomorrow also sees the launch of the Evening Press York City page on the Internet.

Surfers can find the page, which includes a club history, player profiles, match reports and a look at the work of City's Football in the Community section in SPORT on www.eveningpress.co.uk from tomorrow afternoon onwards.

Monday's City match coverage will also have a new look with a panel of fans adding their verdict to Tony Kelly's analysis of the game.

So let's get the show on the road!
