For Your Eyes Only, one of the mainstays of Tim Easterby's highly successful Great Habton yard this season, is fancied to play a starring role yet again at York tomorrow as he steps out of handicap company into Listed class.

The talented four-year-old goes for the £27,500 Kufner Textiles UK 25th Anniversary Strensall Stakes in a bid to win his fourth race from his last five starts.

Twice successful in competitive handicaps at Sandown this season, For Your Eyes Only hit the jackpot at Goodwood on his latest start when winning the £100,000 William Hill Mile by a neck from King Slayer, to whom he was conceding 20lb.

That performance, off a rating of 102, confirmed For Your Eyes Only as a much-improved horse and one capable of making his mark in a Listed event. Tomorrow he gets the chance to prove it under regular rider, Jason Weaver.

The Sun Life of Canada Garrowby Stakes, a rated handicap, offers Monsajem the opportunity to strike winning form.

Ed Dunlop's charge, a smart juvenile last year, has had only one race this season, at Newmarket last month when he finished a creditable third of nine to Bold Look, beaten less than five lengths.

That was an encouraging return to action and it would come as no surprise to see him fulfil that promise tomorrow in the hands of Jimmy Fortune.

Sea Ya Maite, whose best form seems to be reserved for the all-weather circuits, can make his mark on turf in the Bounty Arts Apprentice Handicap.

This Roy Bowring-trained gelding ran a fine race on his latest start, beaten only a length into third by Honest Borderer over nine furlongs at Ripon.

Tomorrow's slightly longer distance will be in his favour, and he is sportingly napped in a tricky-looking race.

The Quintin Gilbey Silver Trophy Handicap, which kicks off the Knavesmire programme tomorrow, looks another race in which a pin could prove the best method of finding the winner.

That said, Roy Bowring has another solid chance here with Maiteamia, who finished an excellent second to the in-form Dominelle over six furlongs at Ripon recently.

Probably better over this distance of seven furlongs, the five-year-old is worth more than a passing look in a wide open race.

Lujain can give Frankie Dettori a victory in the Newton Fund Managers Novice Stakes.

This useful-looking colt won in decisive fashion at Newmarket on his debut and that race has since thrown up a host of subsequent winners.

The ACMC Nursery Handicap could be best left to Fiori, whose latest performance over seven furlongs at Newmarket left the distinct impression that a race of this nature was within his scope.

Patrick Haslam's juvenile finished a close-up fourth that day to Herb Of Grace and was doing all his best work at the end. Tomorrow's step up to a mile should suit him admirably.
