HEAD-ON prop forward Steve Hill is facing a Boundary Park knock out blow.
The 22-year-old front rower suffered a bang on the head as York Rugby League Club sealed their place in the First Division against Doncaster.
Coach Dean Robinson declared the reliable forward was withdrawn at half-time last Sunday as a precaution.
However, Hill is still struggling to be fit for the Wasps final fling at Oldham on Sunday.
"Steve took a bang to the back of the head and it is tender. If it doesn't settle down we will not risk him," said the coach. "But knowing the player and the man it would take a lot to keep him out."
Scrum-half Mick Crane is the Wasps only other injury worry as they seek to finish their successful season on a high note. Crane has been hampered by a knee injury throughout the promotion run in and the injury flared up against the Dragons.
However, Robinson is affording the half-back every chance of making the squad and Crane's fitness will be monitored at training tonight.
