Having settled down at home, after my recent trip to York District Hospital for surgical treatment, I wish to put on record the excellent, comforting and personal care given to me by the medical staff at the hospital, and in particular those in Surgical Theatre No.9, the High Dependency Unit and Surgical Ward 16.
Despite a most difficult job, long hours and little respite, all those involved with patients took great care to explain every stage of procedure though the hospital, putting the patient at ease.
I can reassure those who may seek hospital care that they will be received with kindness, and cared for with friendly efficiency and skill.
In York we are most fortunate to have a hospital second to none.
