MORE than a dozen witnesses to a Selby post office robbery have come forward to help police.

Officers say that E-FIT pictures of the robbers who held up a Selby post office will be released by the end of the week after the witnesses helped build detailed descriptions of the armed men.

The robbers stole a quantity of cash from Kaye's post office and newsagent's in Flaxley Road, Selby, last week.

Inspector Dave Cowie said: "We have got quite a number of sightings of what we believe are the offenders prior to the robbery, in the area of the post office.

"We have some very good descriptions."
