With due respect, your article 'NHS must be made secure' (January 7), and dozens which I have read like it are pure waffle and show a lack of understanding of the future of the NHS.

Frank Dobson's attacks on the previous administration are tongue-in-cheek. He knows that the days of the NHS as we know it are numbered and all politicians who have grappled with the funding of this "bottomless pit" can heave a sigh of relief. It has already been clearly stated by both German and French finance ministers that funding of this enormity will be out with the taxation limits set for participants in the single currency.

Blair is foaming at the mouth now that the details of Federal Europe are being revealed, too soon for his liking!

The fact that should put the fear of God in you is that when some distant administration ruins the NHS, removes our immigration restrictions, tells our sons in the UK army to fight in Outer Mongolia etc etc, you will be unable to vote them out of office. Please stop and think. This sort of article is irrelevant as people are subjected to pro-single currency propaganda and run like rats into the trap.

Save the NHS.
