Every year more than 50,000 mink are killed for their fur after spending their short lives in small, wire cages - all for the sake of fashion.

But the RSPCA's Vale of Mowbray branch aims to prevent this suffering and is campaigning to end to all fur farming in Britain

We are supporting the Fur Farming (Prohibition) Bill which has been introduced by Maria Eagle, Labour MP for Liverpool Garston. If successful, the Bill will end the considerable suffering currently inflicted on animals to produce an inessential luxury product.

The Bill has its second reading in Parliament on Friday. If you believe fur farming should be banned please write to your MP urging them to support Maria Eagle's Bill.
