Last year the school chess programme could not go ahead because of a change of secretaries and other difficulties. But the York Chess Association hopes to include it in 1999-2000 season.
Because of the break last season we may have lost contact with many schools so if your pupils wish to join or rejoin contact our school chess secretary at the address below or ring 01904 411238.
An entry form and details will be sent.
At the end of the chess season there will be a team trophy for the winning school and a cash prize for the individual highest scoring player.
