York lacks interesting small sculptures of the kind found in many continental towns and villages.

These are not always statues of notable people, they may be children, animals, birds or interesting geometrical forms.

We could have several for the cost of one Constantine or St Helena, and they would fit into our city much better. They would also provide support for struggling young artists.
