It is time once again to invite readers to consider taking part in the annual St Leonard's Way Challenge Walk. This popular event is now in its tenth year having raised £57,000 for the day to day work of the hospice here in York.

The walk takes place over 20 miles of beautiful Bront Country in the West Riding on Saturday, May 8. You need to be reasonably experienced and fit to tackle the walk and to come well-prepared for every kind of weather and terrain. The route follows mainly bridleways from Haworth to Hebden Bridge and back and includes sections of the Pennine Way.

Many walkers come back every year; some come in teams - but newcomers and individuals are just as welcome. We provide check points and drinks along the route and refreshments at the finish. For an entry form, sponsorship form and more details, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to me at St Leonard's Hospice, at the address below.
