As a former student of Fulford School, I was devastated to hear about the horrific fire. I came home from university to see pictures of the school in flames.
It was hard to believe that part of the place where I had spent the last seven years of my life studying was gone.
It's a tragic thing to have happened and I feel for the pupils who have lost their coursework. I know a lot of pupils worked hard raising money to put towards the extensive improvements of the affected part of the building. The fire may have destroyed my former classrooms but it has not destroyed the wonderful memories I have of the school, its pupils and teachers.
