The 'A' team beat all the teams in their section with ease, scoring 42 goals and conceding only four. They went into the semi-final where they beat Huntington.

All Saints were winners of their section and they beat St Olave's in the other semi-final.

In the final a well-rehearsed Joseph Rowntree team played some excellent netball, beating All Saints 6-3.The J Rowntree teams were:

The Joseph Rowntree U15s played in a Regional Netball Tournament which their school hosted.

Joseph Rowntree totally outclassed the opposition in their section. Their closest match was a 12-6 win over Brinsworth.

In Section two there was a real contest between Manor and All Saints because neither wanted to meet Joseph Rowntree in the semi-final. Both teams beat every other team with ease. The match between them then ended 12-10 in favour of Manor.

Surprisingly Manor lost to Brinsworth 9-8 in the semi-final.

The other semi-final saw a fantastic game between York rivals Joseph Rowntree and All Saints. Goals were going with centre passes in this evenly matched game, but Joseph Rowntree had a few excellent interceptions to put them two ahead with minutes to go.

All Saints fought back and scored one last goal on the whistle, but Joseph Rowntree won 12-11.

The final was a disappointing one, with Joseph Rowntree beating Brinsworth 15-3.

The winning J Rowntree team was: Gemma Shaw (capt), Liz Davies, Debra Slater, Jo Phillips, Jenny Carter, Dawn Pashby, Helen Cordell, Katie Barrass.

All Saints U15 Netball team won the York & District Schools' Netball Tournament last week in a hard fought contest pushing Joseph Rowntree School into second place on goal difference.

It was always going to be between All Saints and Joseph Rowntree - both national finalists last year - and Manor School.

All Saints beat Manor 8-4 and their match against Joseph Rowntree finished in a 7-7 draw. Goals then became crucial and All Saints stepped up their scoring rate, beating their own 'B' team 12-3; Fulford 11-1; Queen Margarets 15-0; Millthorpe 14-0; J Rowntree 'B' 17-0 and Huntington 13-1 to finish with an 81-75 goal difference - just six goals ahead to lift the trophy.

All Saints Winning Team was: Lisa Norman, Ellie Hoyle (capt), Kath Bell, Katie Teasdale, Hannah Kaufman, Rachel Harlow, Julia Kaufman.

All Saints 'B' team also picked up the 'B' team winners medals making it a double celebration, also ahead of J Rowntree.

'B' Team winners were: Gina Middleton, Helen McDonald, Sarah Jones, Fran Jones, Mercy Fawcett, Aimee Moreton, Jayne Broughton, Bryony Benjamin.

The 'A' team were back in action on Sunday in the Yorkshire & Humberside Tournament. They beat Royds 12-3, Silverdale 10-3, Huntington 15-6, Harrogate Grammar 11-1, Easingwold 14-7, losing 6-8 to Manor, to reach the semi-final.

Here it was another showdown with Joseph Rowntree. It was a superb match with both sides giving little away, but it was Joseph Rowntree who turned the tables to win 11-10 and so went on to win the title.

Not to be outdone, the All Saints U12 team won their section in the York & District Tournament. In the semi-final they beat St Olave's and so met J Rowntree in the Final, losing 3-6 in a very close game. The All Saints team was: Francesca D'Souza, Chloe Curry (capt), Lucy Goodacre, Lisa Halley, Emily Bell, Alex Outhwaite, Sarah O'Reilly.
