FOLLOWING the article Pensioner Dogged by Path Pets Nuisance (Evening Press, March 19) I should like to comment on the points raised.

The path cannot be used as a short cut to the new houses, as there is a seven foot fence right round the houses and the only access to them, is by road, and not by the pathway in question.

2. Dogs off the lead? No dogs are ever seen off the leash, so how can they do their 'business' in Mrs Fox's garden?

Thirty dogs a day? Count the dogs on Northfield and include Blacklee Close and you will be lucky if they total ten.

There is already a fence between the path and her house.

There is now a sign at the end of the footpath, banning dogs from the area and for quite a few weeks nobody has been down the path. So why are the council going to the expense of putting a gate there? People here are law-abiding, so the notice should suffice.

Thank you for letting me put 'the other side'.
