I feel I must comment on the letter with regard to smokers having a last drag before getting on a bus (April 28). Does Mr Wright want smokers breathalysed before boarding public transport?

As for his question 'Does no one remember Roy Castle nowadays' - as an ex-employee at the York Carriage Works and having lost many colleagues with asbestosis, I certainly will not forget Roy Castle's rather insensitive and misleading remark on television when he likened working in clubs, inhaling other people's smoke to working in a room full of asbestos.
