The York Cade Trophy six-a-side finals on Saturday are now to be played at Copmanthorpe Primary School at 9.30am.

The fixtures are:

Pitch two: English Martyrs v Woodthorpe, Hempland v English Martyrs, Copmanthorpe v Clifton, Copmanthorpe v English Martyrs, English Martyrs v Headlands, Hempland v Headlands, Copmanthorpe v Headlands.

The group runs on a league basis with the two schools with the best records going through to the North Yorkshire Finals on Saturday, November 13. These will probably be in Sherburn-in-Elmet, but this has to be confirmed. Competing schools will be notified.

The four City Boys' teams that were in action last Saturday had a disappointing time with a draw and three defeats.

The U12s lost to Spen Valley 2-1. The York goal was scored by Ben Hopkins. The U13s lost to Spen Valley by the only goal of the match.

The U14s played a very creditable 2-2 draw with a strong Sunderland side, while the U15s faced a very strong Sunderland team and went down 6-1. York's only goal was scored by C Johnson of Huntington School.

Rugby League

The Under-11 Rugby League Rally will be held at New Earswick on Saturday, starting at 9.30am.

York Schools Under-11s rugby league team make the short trip to Leeds for their latest fixture tomorrow.

They leave Acorn's Thanet Road ground at 4.30pm and a coach is available
