An Internet company has been set up in the brewing town of Tadcaster with the aim of revolutionising the way that pub companies manage their estates.

Pubklick.com will offer to pub operators data management services covering beer dispense, games machine performance, cash and stocktaking figures and customer profile information. Formation of the company is the culmination of a year's research and development work led by Jim Walsh, chairman of Commer Inns, an expanding Tadcaster-based pub company with 75 outlets from Leicestershire to Tyne and Wear.

Clive Consterdine, newly-appointed head of pubklick.com said: "The last ten years have seen significant changes in the way pub estates are managed in this country, but history will show that these changes are incidental compared to those that are coming soon.

"If pub companies are to compete in the market for leisure time, then things must change faster and more radically than ever before. Our mission is to be the catalyst.

"We are now able to gather real-time data about pub trading patterns. It means that at a pub company head office we can see numericdal and graphical information about how much beer is flowing through which pumps in any pub - as it happens.

"We can also see which games machines are being played, and how much money they are taking."
