The enigmatic Green Green Desert, who gave notice at Doncaster on his latest outing that his winning turn was imminent, can fulfil that promise at Sandown tomorrow.

The Paul Nicholls trained gelding goes for the feature race, the £12,000 Londesborough Chase, and with Joe Tizzard in the saddle looks capable of defying top-weight.

'Capable' is the operative word, because Green Green Desert is something of a law to himself, a horse who can never quite be relied on to produce what is expected of him.

That said, this former high-class gelding has some useful wins to his credit in previous seasons and clearly retains a fair share of ability judged by his recent runner-up effort behind Cumbrian Challenge at Doncaster.

Tomorrow's small field is likely to suit Green Green Desert, who can end a long losing sequence in this two miles handicap.

Ballet-K looks the one to be on in the Telegraph Hill Novices' Hurdle.

A useful performer in bumpers, Jim Neville's made up for a fall at Ludlow on her hurdling debut by gaining a runaway win at Uttoxeter recently.

Ballet-K has the scope for further improvement and can follow-up here in the hands of Warren Marston.

Cherrynut has what it takes to come out on top in the Claremont Hunters' Chase.

Alan Hill's 11-year-old is a proven smart performer in this sphere and, sure to be all the better for his recent comeback outing in a point-to-point, he can take the honours tomorrow.

Elaando, who has been running consistently well for Lambourn trainer Merritta Jones, can get back on the winning trail in the opening race, the Fairmile Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle.

At Taunton, Rowington is awarded the Nap vote in the Cancerbacup Novices' Chase.

Alan King's gelding returned from a long spell on the sidelines to score on his chasing debut at Wetherby last month and beat the well-regarded Mandicat in the style of a horse with a bright future over fences.

He looks to have more on his plate tomorrow, but Rowington is a horse to follow and he is taken to oblige again under the in-form Richard Johnson, who partnered four winners on Monday and was on the mark again at Sedgefield yesterday aboard Lord Capitaine.

Pebble Moon is fancied to complete a hat-trick in the Cancerbacup Cancer Support Service Handicap Hurdle.

Phillip Hobbs' charge is in the form of her life at present and, with leading amateur Paul Flynn in the saddle, a third consecutive victory looks on the cards.

Hobbs and Flynn can also take the Cancerbacup Website Mares' Only Handicap Hurdle with Richmond Lady, already a winner this season.

Europe's first live horse racing on the internet will be at Ascot on Saturday. The first three races on the card will be shown. The website is www.ascot.co.uk
