Step on Eyre, who finished fourth to Young Kenny at Uttoxeter a fortnight ago, can get back on top in the Stag Handicap Chase at Sandown tomorrow.
The extended three miles should be ideal for the Henry Daly-trained gelding, who, having looked like winning, found himself running short of stamina from the second-last fence over Uttoxeter's three and a half miles last time.
A useful performer, Step On Eyre had previously finished runner-up to Young Kenny's stable-mate Bobby Grant in a three-miler at Haydock, where he led until the final fence.
Overdue a winning turn, Step On Eyre can make the most of this opportunity and win in the hands of the in-form Richard Johnson.
Kim Bailey, who had two winners at Leicester yesterday can have more success courtesy of Mystere in the Aldaniti Novices' Chase.
At Fakenham, Silver Wedge can prove his class by adding to his tally of wins in the Norfolk Game Conservancy Novices' Chase.
This former high-class Flat horse and hurdler has taken well to fences at a relatively late stage of his career.
Most recently successful at Doncaster, he will be a tough nut to crack.
Mick Fitzgerald, rider of Silver Wedge, can also clinch the Norfolk Countryside Alliance Handicap Chase on Esperanza IV.
Runner-up in all three of his completed starts this season, Esperanza IV is overdue a win.
I fancy his that his opportunity will come tomorrow and award him the Nap vote.
