Hasn't the penny dropped about Gerry Adams and his Sinn Fein involvement?

From the start of the peace talks he and his compatriots have made it clear that they will never give up their weapons - and say 'no' to disarmament talks.

He has always blamed everyone else for the "troubles" - the British Government, now Peter Mandelson and the Unionists - while all the time he is hell-bent on keeping the weapons because if he gave in, it would appear to be a sign of weakness, and he would lose the power he has.

He doesn't really want peace, but he wants to be in the forefront of talks, pretending all the time to be an advocate of his way of controlling any organisation formed to bring calm and stability to Northern Ireland. He will get his come-uppance one day and it can't come soon enough for me.
