Reader's letter
We invite readers to take part in the annual St Leonard's Way Challenge Walk in the spectacular Bront country on the Haworth Moors. This year the event takes place on Saturday, May 6.
You need to be reasonably experienced and fit to tackle the 20-mile walk, which follows mainly bridleways from Haworth to Hebden Bridge and back, and includes sections of the Pennine Way. There is also an optional extra five-mile loop for the very fit!
The challenge is open to walkers or runners and we limit the numbers taking part to 200. The Challenge Walk has raised more than £73,000 for St Leonard's Hospice over the years and this year, like last, is in aid of Hospice 2000, our Millennium Appeal. For an entry form, sponsorship form and more details, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to me at the address below. The closing date for entries is April 28.
