Vice-Captain Dave Spanton returns for York's game at Clifton Park against Horden.

York's poor away form has left them in the bottom half of North-East League One. However, there is a good chance, if the results go to form, that they could still be playing in the new North Two East League next season.

They need to win on Saturday and then beat Percy Park away in the last league match of the season.

Old Crossleyans who are that one vital place above them must also lose their two remaining games. This is not out of the question, as they play at second placed Darlington tomorrow and also have to meet third placed Redcar.

Percy Park, who like York and Old Crossleyans, are locked on 12 points, travel to champions Halifax, who will be bidding to stretch their 100% winning league record to 17 games.

In addition to Spanton, prop Simon Humphries is also making a return after injury. He takes the place of Dave Dorking who is unavailable.

Ed Bennison replaces Rob Doyle in the centre. Skipper Nigel Durham is hoping to recover from the rib injury he received in last week's club victory at Hull. If he is not fit then former Colt James Arkle will take his place.

The only other doubt is Nathan Savage who had an excellent game against Halifax until he tore a hamstring.

After a good performance at Hull, another Colt, Stuart Davies is unfortunate not to have forced his way into the team, however he has earned a place on the bench as a back substitute.

The biggest game in North Yorkshire tomorrow is the Jewson National League division one battle between Wharfedale and Harrogate.

Ralph Zoing's Harrogate warmed up for tomorrow's encounter with a crushing 81-17 win over bottom club Blackheath last Saturday and another win tomorrow will taken them to within four points of third-placed Wharfedale with three games remaining.

Pocklington, who are enjoying one of their best-ever seasons, expect to continue their good form at the expense of Durham City. It will be a major upset if Durham, bottom of North East Two with just one league win all season, topple the champions.

Pock are hoping to complete a double next month when they play in the final of the Yorkshire Shield.

Also in NE2, Selby go to Pontefract, who are a place above them in fourth.

There will be pride to play for at New Lane where Malton and Norton are the visitors in a mid-table Yorkshire League division two clash against York RI.

RI have fallen away in the latter half of the season after being hit by a crop of injuries.

Nestl Rowntree are on the road in division five with a trip to Ossett.
