Well, yes he can.

Teenager Stuart Perrin was strutting his stuff at the home of English rugby union today after being earmarked as one of the country's most promising kickers.

Perrin, pictured right, of Huby, and seven other boys from across the country were this afternoon displaying their talents at Twickenham prior to Wasps defending their Tetley's Bitter Cup title against Northampton.

The other youngsters were selected from more than 1000 young players who took part in a competition as part of a coaching tour run at 12 different locations by England full back Jon Callard during 1999.

But Perrin, 16, a pupil at Easingwold School, was chosen for the honour after being nominated following his performances representing North Yorkshire.

Surprisingly, Perrin only took up rugby two years ago after switching his affection from football.

And he is actually second choice kicker for both county and his club side, York RUFC Under-16s, but caught the eye when handed the task because of injury to his team mate.

After Perrin and his fellow kickers were put through the their paces on the hallowed Twickenham turf today they were able to sit back and enjoy the day.
