AS a regular visitor to York I have noticed how unclean the city centre streets are becoming.
We should not have to put up with dodging dog dirt, chewing gum, urine and vomit from the night before.
Tourists will get the impression that York is not a city with pride, but one where they realise open-toed sandals cannot be worn.
If other countries can manage to clean their streets early in the morning before shoppers and tourists arrive, surely City of York Council can.
