Mr Porteous says: "It's the largest quoted owner of industrial property in the UK. It builds, refurbishes and lets properties and rarely disposes of them, with rent the largest source of income.
"City experts say the management has made some good investment decisions including its involvement in Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow and the building of new properties within its existing estate.
"The future strategy is more of the same. The biggest development opportunity is now at Farnborough but analysts suggest planning permission must be at least 18 months away so expenditure will be minimal.
"Overseas operations represent around 18 per cent of assets and more investment in these is expected this year. The spread of tenancies is comforting to us shareholders."
