A trio of young York Cricket Club players have been selected to play for Yorkshire representative sides this week.
First teamer Stephen Piercy, from Huby, will captain the Yorkshire under-19s who play North Yorkshire Schools, and he will face club-mate Graham Mackfall, who also opens the bowling for St Peter's School.
James Pringle will play for Yorkshire under-16s against a Joe Lumb select XI and his younger brother, 13-year-old Thomas, is in the Yorkshire under-15s squad for their forthcoming matches against Hertfordshire, Staffordshire and Leicestershire.
The Pringle brothers are both pupils at Easingwold School.
