YORK insolvency firm Harrisons has made three key new appointments as part of its expansion drive in the region.

The firm, which recently moved into larger premises within Tower House Business Centre, in Fishergate, has appointed Martina Hogg as its new insolvency manager.

Sarah Hudson has joined as office manager and Gillian Hallway has taken up a post with the practice's support team.

Martina takes up her new role having joined the practice from John Gordon Walton & Co, in Leeds.

She has worked in the insolvency sector for five years, including a spell at the official receivers in Lytham St Annes.

Sarah has more than nine years experience in the financial sector working with private practices and North Yorkshire Training and Enterprise Council.

Her new position includes the job of company accountant.

Gillian, who has been recruited to bolster the firm's support team, has worked for Barnardos and with the armed forces in Germany.

David Horner, partner with Harrisons in York, said: "It is refreshing to be able to recruit quality staff who are all local to York. Their knowledge and experience of the local markets and industry will be invaluable."
