A PRESTIGIOUS timber award has been given to the Castle Howard Estate. Great Yorkshire show judges chose the Ryedale estate as winner of the John Boddy Timber Disc competition in the forestry section of the event.
Castle Howard's head forester Stuart Palmer had put forward 17 entries of discs sliced from a mix of broad leaf and conifers.
