MANAGER Terry Dolan will take a full strength team to Harrogate Town tonight for Alan Smith's Testimonial game at Wetherby Road (7.45pm).

New signings Peter Duffield, Graham Potter and Gary Hobson are in an 18-man squad - all of whom will travel to Keele University on Sunday for a week-long training camp.

In addition to the squad triallists David McNiven, who scored in last night's 1-0 North Riding Senior Cup semi-final win over Marske United at Bootham Crescent, and Phil Hadland will also be going to Keele as Dolan continues his assessment of their skills.

The beneficiary of tonight's game, Harrogate-born Smith has spent 21 years at his home-town club, having originally joined as player-manager from Ossett Albion in 1979.

The 49-year-old has filled a variety of roles at the club, including manager (twice), general manager and more latterly director. He is currently the manager of the club's under-16s team, while still running a trophy shop in the town.

When aged 20, Smith played twice for City as an amateur left-winger, following two impressive displays in the reserves.

Harrogate are likely to again try a few new faces, having played nine debutants, including seven summer signings, in the 3-0 defeat by First Division Barnsley on Tuesday.

Manager Dave Fell is planning to use most of his 22-strong squad at some stage in the game.
