IS it just me? Your fashion feature on the Seventies revival (July 19), in common with most features on that decade, depicts Seventies fashions as fun, wild and funky. Er, are we thinking about the same era?
I was a teenager in the Seventies and my memory of the clothes I had to wear is that they were badly made, in a limited range of colours (mostly brown and purple), and extremely unflattering! The Eighties, on the other hand, brought Lycra, colour and sex appeal!
