York Wasps have set a deadline of lunchtime tomorrow for naming their new coach.

Two candidates are in the running for the post which has been vacant since Dean Robinson's departure in March.

And chief executive Ann Garvey today confirmed that "various options" had been put to both of them.

Garvey was today attending her first Rugby League Council meeting and was expecting a stormy introduction.

Dewsbury's application to join Super League and Gateshead's bid to enter the Northern Ford Premiership were both set to be decided.
