SAM Broadley demonstrated remarkable composure in a crisis. Although only five-years-old, he showed no signs of panic when he was left to look after dad Steve and baby sister Selina when Steve broke his leg at Brimham Rocks.
Suddenly it was Sam who was caring for his dad, rather than the other way around. It must have been frightening for him, but he did not show it. He was calmness itself.
No adult could have done any better. Young Sam truly has an old head on young shoulders.
