SHOPPERS at Kwik Save in Norton could have been forgiven for being confused when they found Claude Greengrass, of popular television programme Heartbeat, greeting them at the door.
Along with Alfred the dog, Greengrass, or rather Bill Price, his double, was collecting for charity.
Bill is the official stunt double for the Greengrass character and often works on the set when filming.
Kwik Save shoppers also had the opportunity to have their faces painted and to play a game of hook-a-duck in the store's foyer.
All the events were part of a beach party theme taking place over the Bank Holiday.
