FARMER Monty Burton, from Staxton, near Scarborough, has added another trophy to his collection by winning the All England Codling Championship which was fished off the Yorkshire coast.
Burton, pictured above, landed the £500 first prize, sponsored by Bass North east, with eleven fish for a combined weight of 18lbs 3oz 10drm from Bempton Cliffs.
He was recently runner-up in the North of England Codling Championship, won Angler of the Week in the Filey Fishing Festival and was third in the big National Penn League final where a £5,000 prize was up for grabs.
