Out for a good time? If clubbing's your scene, read on...

The night time is the right time for people in their 20s, and there are plenty of clubs out there who will be only too pleased to help you party through the night.

York's Ikon & Diva at Clifton Moor is going strong, and is now part of the same group which also owns city centre nightspots The Gallery in Clifford Street and Toffs in Toft Green.

If the 1970s are your bag, then Wednesday night at Toffs sounds as if it will be right down your street. Bobby Dazzler is the man behind the mike those nights, and 70s and 80s party cheese music is what he specialises in.

Dave Ryan, manager at Ikon & Diva, says things have been going very well over the 12 months the twin clubs have been open. Ikon is the half that specialises in the under 25 side of clubbing, with the accent on commercial dance music, while Diva is aimed at the over 25s.

Dave says: "There's a 70s and 80s night at Diva on a Thursday, and the shuttle bus operation between the city centre and here is going extremely well. On a Saturday night, there might be as many as 1,000 to 1,200 people coming out here."

Leeds is one of the hippest place for Yorkshire nights out, and has been for some while. Clubs to which a fair number of fun-seeking York revellers go include: Bar 38 in the Headrow; the Faversham in Springfield Mount; Late Bar: Normans and the Think Tank in Call Lane; the Liquid Bar in Central Road; the Majestic and Planet Earth in City Square; The Town House in Assembly Street; and the Warehouse in Somer Street.
