THE more I hear about the 'Doomed Dome' the more I am reminded of George Orwell's political satire, Animal Farm.

For while the 'pigs' became fat, enjoyed life in the Farmhouse and changed the laws to suit themselves, the other animals had less, worked hard and paid to build and re-build the useless windmill.

Not that I'm a political animal and I'm not suggesting that any of our political leaders resemble 'pigs' - mind you they do all look well fed - but they do seem to be a law unto themselves, having wasted our money building a useless Dome.
