I AM trying to trace the group of girls who started Queen Anne Grammar School for girls in 1976, aged 11 in classes 1T, 1G and 1B and finished their fifth year in 1981.

June 2001 will mark 20 years since we all took our O levels and myself, Helen Stabler (now Hardcastle) and Heather Robertson (now South) want to organise a reunion to celebrate this event and catch up with friends and classmates.

Although the venue is still to be confirmed, we intend to hold the reunion in York on the afternoon of Saturday, July 7, 2001. All classmates and staff are welcome. Write to Heather at 15 Claremont Road, West Kirby, Wirral, CH48 5EA or e-mail:

heather.south@free-internet.co.uk.

Or ring Helen on 01904 705781.

...COULD any Evening Press readers give me information about my late grandparents, Birinus and Catherine White? Both came from Ireland and had a farm in Nun Monkton. Their daughter, my mum, was born in 1899 at Nun Monkton on January 3. These are the only sketchy details known to me. I believe my grandparents are buried at Nun Monkton but after this I have always drawn a blank.
