Fulford United produced another solid defensive display as they won 1- 0 for the second week in succession in division one of Leeper Hare York and District League.

Glen Featherstone scored the all important goal at Barmby Moor, which sees Fulford into third place in the table.

Division one leaders Thorpe United were held to a draw at home to promotion favourites Malton Bacon Factory, who have had a poor start to the season by their standards.

Simon Collins gave the Factory side an early lead, which was cancelled out by Mick Tiplady before the interval.

Newly promoted South Bank occupy second place after a home win over Nestle Rowntree. The visitors took the lead but Dave Hyde levelled the scores and Mark Belleh hit the winner.

Post Office were winning 1 - 0 against Haxby through an Andy Bonarious strike with twelve minutes remaining on the referee's watch and not looking like losing when they suffered a monumental collapse and were hit for six.

Paul Worden 2, Steve Sullivan (2) Aaron Donahoe and an own goal were the Haxby marksmen.

Wigginton Black Horse scored their first win of the season, beating Riccall, who were playing their first game in division one.

Kevin Callinswood, Jamie Seal and Antony Luck scored for Black Horse, Paul Brough and Alan Jackson replying for Riccall.

Osbaldwick went one up at St John's College through a Steve Dagnall penalty, but Jim Middleditch levelled the score for the students John Bygrove and Andy Battersby then sealed the Students' first win of the season by scoring in the last five minutes.

Heslington, the early pacesetters in division two, were brought back to earth in resounding fashion as they went down 5 - 1 at Copmanthorpe. Andrew Manns (2), John Langley and Chris Andrew gave the home side their first win of the season. Copmanthorpe missed a first minute penalty.

Hammerton United now head the table after a 3 - 0 win at Stillington.

Heworth were leading 2 - 0 by half-time at Poppleton through Dave Bonner and Jamie Allerton. Second half goals from Simon Hunt and Charlie Jackson were not enough to give the home side a share of the points as Bonner added his second to win the game.

Lee Brogan, Andrew Metcalfe and Richard Jennison gave Huby a comfortable win at Norton United who did not trouble the Huby 'keeper.

Stamford Bridge's Simon Sutcliffe missed a penalty awarded after five minutes of their home game against Hemingbrough and then saw the visitors take the lead which they held at half-time.

After the break Stamford took control with goals from Haig Miles, Jamie Rank and another penalty, scored by Sam Browne.

T&L Selby head division three after four straight wins, their latest victims being LNER Builders who went down 5 - 2 after taking the lead through Steve Smith in the first five minutes.

John Ginty equalised and Darren Fawcett put T&L in front before the break.

Ginty and Fawcett then scored again along with Mike Barnitt as the home side got three goals in a ten minute second half spell to put the game beyond the reach of the Builders.

Mark Rollinson added Builders second with ten minutes to go.

Hamilton Panthers remain unbeaten but it took an injury time winner from Ian Rankellior to overcome a much improved Marton cum Grafton side.

Gavin Pickard, Paul King and Rankeillor were the other Panthers scorers in their 4 - 3 win.

Jason Shawcliffe (2), Steve O'Mahony and Chris Roberts scored for Selby RSSC as they just managed to overcome Rawcliffe Rangers 4 - 3.

Moor Lane won 4 - 2 at Grasshoppers 82 with a hat-trick from Andrew Kenyon and one goal from Jamie Hirst. Rob Murphy and Warwick Andrews scored for Grasshoppers.
