Scarborough take their shaky defence, which has conceded eight goals in the last two games, to Boston's York Street Stadium tomorrow without having enjoyed a win in seven games.

Player-manager Neil Thompson is likely to tinker with his formation, reverting to a flat back four with Shaun Rennison coming back into the side at the heart of the defence.

Denny Ingram misses the match as he's serving a one-match ban for being sent off against Leigh in the FA Cup and right-back Matty Russell has an ankle problem.

Thompson is looking to plug the gaps in midfield and said: "Some of our defending has been of the schoolboy variety but we have to defend better all over the pitch."

Cherif Diallo, the French trialist with two goals in his last two games, will partner Steve Brodie in attack with the other Frenchman at the club, Romain Faure, moving into midfield.

After the announcement that a number of players were available for loan or transfer, there has been no further action to add to the loan departure of Chris Tate to Leyton Orient with a view to a permanent £25,000 move.

Team: Woods, Betts, Rennison, Ellender, Shuttleworth, Williams, Pounder, Stoker, Faure, Brodie, Diallo. Subs: Newton, Jones, Gildea, Brunton and Morris.
