YORK CITY striker Barry Conlon was on the receiving end of an FA Cup humiliation at Yeovil on Saturday.

Conlon, cleared to play for Colchester, where he is on loan, was in the side thrashed 5-1 by former Scarborough manager Colin Addison's Nationwide Conference League leaders.

Meanwhile, thirsty Gateshead were livid at the lack of half-time refreshments at Halifax - but by 4.45pm they were drinking from the Cup of cheer.

The Unibond premier division glory boys were whipped into a frenzy by what they perceived as their poor treatment by the Third Division basement boys Halifax.

And they did their talking on the pitch with Tony Hall and Paul Dalton scoring in their 2-0 victory and landing a second-round trip to Swindon.

Gateshead boss Matt Pearson said: "I was fuming before kick-off because we were not even given a cup of tea when we asked for it.

"We couldn't even get back into our dressing room at half-time and if this was the amount of respect we were receiving we certainly weren't going to give them any back."
