A goal from a hotly-disputed short corner saw Tadcaster I lose 3-2 at Normanby Park II.
Tadcaster led 2-1 at the interval with goals by M Cattle and M Boyle, but conceded the equaliser when they failed to clear the ball and were beaten by a goal from the controversial corner.
Tadcaster II enjoyed a winning weekend double, first beating Boston Spa III 3-1, and then Bradford University III 1-0.
Yorkshire League division five leaders Boston Spa were a goal down after two minutes, M Stuart hooking the ball home.
Boston equalised before the interval, but Tadcaster went straight up at the restart and regained the lead through R Hill.
Goalkeeper D Sutton made a great stop, his team building on that save to surge to victory with near post goals by S Lawrence and W Conner.
Sutton and his defence, well marshalled by P Beardmore and K Ord, held firm to the finish.
Tadcaster's match-winner at Bradford was substitute R Taylor, who smashed home a shot from a short corner in the first half.
Good goalkeeping by Sutton kept the students at bay and the Tadcaster midfield trio of Dowal, Stuart and Hunt gained control.
