What is the ideal Christmas present to buy Elvis's biggest fan?

The answer? A six foot, fibre-glass resin, lifesize model of the rock 'n' roll hero. This is the ideal gift on the top of the festive wish list of York's very own Elvis impersonator, Eddie Vee.

If he'd only done a bit better on killer quiz show The Weakest Link, Eddie could've afforded the £399 model himself. But he'll have to hope Santa smiles on him instead, because after fighting his way through to the last two in last night's contest, he was beaten in the final round.

Eddie, who has been professionally impersonating the King of Rock 'n' Roll since 1992, still reckons the model would look brilliant in his living room.

"I've got loads of Elvis memorabilia, and it would really add to the collection," said Eddie. The model is available from the Gift Company,Church Street, York.

Eddie is performing Elvis's hits at The Ainsty, Boroughbridge Road, York, on Christmas Eve. Admission is free.
