Over the past few years the Evening Press has frequently reported to readers on the growth of donations to Martin House Hospice into our front garden bird collection box. May we offer our thanks to them, to Bishopthorpe garden lovers, to village children and visitors, whose contributions into the bird box have now reached the magical total of £5,000.
