Scarborough will be looking for a festive double over Doncaster Rovers at Belle Vue on New Year's Day following the 3-1 win over Steve Wignall's side on Boxing Day.

Player-manager Neil Thompson is missing Cherif Diallo and Shaun Rennison through suspension and with Simon Betts completing his £10,000 move to Yeovil, the Seasiders' small squad will be tested.

Betts is the latest player to leave the McCain Stadium, following the departure of Chris Tate, Marcus Jones and Michael McNaughton.

"It's a chance for other players to stake a claim," said Thompson. "Gareth Stoker was upset at being left out on Boxing Day and he gets the chance to show me what he can do on Monday."

Thompson will move Gareth Williams into attack to partner Steve Brodie in the absence of Diallo who has scored six goals in just eight starts, while Denny Ingram, who scored his first of the season against Rovers, will drop back into defence.

Thompson will have to fill the bench with his talented youngsters and the Whitby teenage trio of Paul Atkinson, Ashley Lythe and Paul Jewell are all likely to be in the squad.
