RIDING Lights launches the new tour by Roughshod, its community touring company, with preview dates this month at the York Christian theatre company's home in York, Friargate Theatre.

Billed as the "smash-hit love show for families about families", Love Fifteen is being devised during rehearsal by the cast of four young professional actors, working in tandem with Riding Lights directors Paul Burbridge and Bridget Foreman.

Addressing the subject of bringing up parents in 2001, Love Fifteen asks: "Does family life feel like a game where the rules are reinvented every day? Are you slogging out a long rally with an opponent who returns your lobs with a smash?

Or are you sitting on the sidelines, hoping not to get caught in the net?"

Marketing officer Antony Dunn says: "Love Fifteen draws on the experiences of teenagers, parents and the national charity of Parentalk - in fact all of us who have been brought up by parents, been parents, or tried bringing up tomorrow's parents - to create an exciting and explosive new piece of theatre."

Preview performances of Love Fifteen will be staged at Friargate Theatre, Lower Friargate, York, from January 29 to February 1. Shows start at 7.30pm; to book tickets, ring 0845 961 3000.

Love Fifteen will tour nationwide until the end of July, concluding with a performance at the annual Riding Lights Summer Theatre School in Pocklington School's new Tom Stoppard Performing Arts Centre.
